Its a New Year, so why not try something new by coming along to one of our church services?
- Are you curious about God?
- Do you want to know why people worship Jesus?
- Do you ever think there must be more to this life?
If you have answered yes to any of these questions, why not come to one of our services to find out more?
We are a friendly church and you will be welcomed by caring, friendly and ordinary people who love and worship Jesus.
We are a family church so children are welcome anytime. We have a sunday school available during the morning service which children can attend and we also have creche facilities available for babies and toddlers during both services.
What happens in church?
We gather together to spend some protected time praising and worshiping Jesus, our Lord and Saviour and learning more about Him and how we can become more like Him. We do this by first singing some songs about and to Jesus. This enables us to come in to a quiet place whereby we can focus on the Lord and be in His presence. This normally lasts for around 30 minutes. This time is known as ‘worship’. We then listen to a speaker who gives a talk for approximately 20-30 minutes, which is known as the sermon.
During the service we also spend time praying for each other and encouraging each other in our walk with Christ. Before the morning service and after the evening service, we have a time of fellowship whereby we can chat to each other and catch up on what is happening in each others lives.
Feeling nervous about coming to church?
Why not just come for free toast and a hot drink on Sunday morning. We know it can be daunting walking into a new church where you do not know anybody, so don’t feel cheeky – we welcome everyone to come and eat for free. This way you can have a chat with some of us before the service starts and we can get to know you a bit better. You can then decide whether you wish to stay for the full service when you are feeling more comfortable.
