We have heard this week that Leah is still alive and ask that you join us in prayer for her and her family. Leah refused to renounce her faith and she paid the price with her freedom.
She was one of 110 girls abducted from their school in Dapchi, Nigeria by Boko Haram in February 2018. The next month, following negotiations by the government, the girls were put into vehicles to go home.
However, Leah wasn’t among them. She wasn’t released because she refused to convert in exchange for her freedom. She was only age 15 at the time and we are truly amazed by her strength, boldness and faith.
We ask for prayers of strength, courage and protection for Leah, that she will be kept free from harm and abuse and that she will feel the presence and peace of the Lord with her at all times. We also pray for strength and comfort for her family. We pray for the Nigerian government to secure her release and for her testimony to bring many others to the saving knowledge of Christ.
